Garden: ?Inhereted a wisteria covered garden, which is still coming up with wist. shoots, inspite of trying to get rid of it repeatedly. Am trying to create a sub-tropical garden, but am presently having trouble with my broamiliads, which I had been told would be very easy. Have also not have much success with frangipany and did not realise that I should haave cut back my hibiscus. Did manage to transplant silver ferns and am also slowly getting rid of the bulbs of the ferns, which were very prolific before I tried to sort the garden, for my daughter's wedding 20th Feb.
Garden: My Roznow FarmOne field that is 150 feet by 150 feet to grow commercial quantity potatoes and corn and string beans for the food bank, one second smaller patch about 45 feet by 45 feet for growing an assortment of veges for myself, my friends and for homeless shelters. Garden: Solace CornerA very small garden, but well-kept for my amateur gardening standards. There are 5 palm trees, 3 on the outside of my fence and 2 inside. Mixture of sorts: 3 different coloured bougainvilleas, basil, savila, passionflower and "copa de oro" vines cover the front fence for extra privacy, banana, chaya, papaya, various others of which I dont know the proper name (despeinadas?), bird of paradise, etc.
I would like to put more colour into the garden, and maybe some vegetables in conatiners. Any suggestions for the area? Tulum's soil is not very fertile, due to the fact that the Yucatan Peninsula is a huge shelf of limestone. I usually bring back more fertile earth from inland areas. Digging can sometimes be hard because of the huge quantity of rocks that can get quite big.

We ocassionally get "bajareque", which is the mist from the mountains, especially with the changing of the seasons from "winter" to "summer", including high winds. We look forward to planting more and more plants and welcome any suggestions how to make our gardens even more beautiful than what they are!

Our "winter" climate is rainy, but not full days of rain. The sun usually appears in the morning until about 3:00 pm and then the rains come in. Our gardens are full of tropical plants and we are always looking to add more!!
Garden: The Botanic Garden Berlin-DahlemThe Botanic Garden Berlin-Dahlem comprises an area of 126 acres and hence is one of the world´s largest and most important gardens. About 22,000 different species of plants are cultivated here. In the 39 acres of the plant-geography section - one of the biggest of its kind in the world - you can travel all the way around the Northern Hemisphere, and in the 42 acre Arboretum and taxonomy section you can get an insight into the relationship among woody and herbaceous plants. The greenhouse complex consists of 16 houses open to the public and offers the possibility to travel through tropical and subtropical vegetation. These living collections, along with the preserved collections, form the basis for the continued expansion of scientific study within the plant kingdom, with the goal to deepen the knowledge necessary for the utilization and protection of plant diversity on earth.

Susumu SanoI live near Lake Biwa-ko (The biggest lake in Japan) of Shiga,Japan where left Kyoto by car for 30 minutes. There are a lot of Japanese gardens ( Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines) and botanical garden in and around Kyoto. And here is the area where nature is left. The climate is warm, and we have the four seasons.
I enjoy the making of Japanese vegetables in the backyard that is not so large. The compost (organic fertilizer) is made from garbage and dead leaf at home. From this year, I came to perform gardening to see a TV program of the vegetables gardening even during the winter.
I enjoy fishing at sea, trip, the breeding of the dog, the tropical fish and the bell cricket other than gardening.
I hope to make friends abroad and want to share information about gardening and the culture. Please contact me if you like.
